Guide to: Becoming an Agent

Hello,
So you want to know how to become an Agent? You've clicked on the right guide!

(Since I (personally) am not an Agent, the following is what I think is ideal for every Chobots who is looking to achieve Chobots Agency.)

First off, if you haven't already I highly recommend you read the two following posts from the Official Chobots Blog:

Now, let's get right into it!

The first thing I think is most important to 'become an agent' is manners and grammar.
Nobody wants to receive help from someone who is impolite and cannot spell correctly.
It may sound harsh but it's the truth... Would you rather this:
"Hello, my name is [Username] and I would like to welcome you to Chobots. Would you like any help, because I would be more than happy to do so."
Or this:
"Sup. I'm [Username] and this is Chobots. Do you need help?"

I know that I would prefer the first Chobot. - and yes, it is stereotypical, not everyone who is an agent can spell correctly, and out of those who cannot spell, that doesn't automatically make them rude. It's all about presentation. Who you want to be seen as, and how people see you.

The second thing I think is important is your off-Chobots presentation.
For example, you could own a Blog. If that blog helps enough people and you show you are dedicated to it, Chobots Team will notice you and consider you as a major candidate for the next Agent.

Finally, as with most things, be yourself.
You will get nowhere if you lie about who you are. People are more interested in your personality than the things you type, trust me.

Thanks for reading, Hope this helps you.

Guide to: Becoming Famous

Hello,
So you want to know how to become famous? You've clicked on the right guide!
So let's get straight to it...

(Since I (personally) am not famous, the following is what I think is ideal for every Chobots who is looking to achieve Chobots fame.)

In order to become famous on Chobots, or a well-respected player; is to be yourself.
This is a phrase used for pretty much everything, and it's true. If you are yourself, then you won't have to lie or pretend... (Think of it like a movie, except you aren't actually acting, you're just You).
Another recommended step is to have a very good blog, make it stand out from all of the others. Surprise everyone, even the Chobots Team. - You could find a free template online and edit it to make it your own, or if you're awesome (and have the knowledge), you could code one from scratch.
Another step is to be involved, and become an active member of the community.
Show everyone how nice/kind you are, and how helpful you are, not just to newcomers, but old-timers as well! (I would recommend having a Chobots Forum account as well)

I will update this post when I can think of anymore helpful information that could help you on your journey to become a famous/recognized/distinguished player of Chobots.

Thank you for reading,
I hope you learn something useful from my guides and share them on with friends.

Guide to: How to add a Tracker to your Blog

Hello,
So you want to add a Tracker to your blog? You've clicked on the right guide!
So let's get straight to it...

Step 1:
Go to the Blogger Dashboard (make sure you are already logged in) and click on the Page icon next to the Pencil icon and click the tab that says 'Layout'.

Step 2:
Once on the Layout tab, click on the 'Add a Gadget' tab wherever you wish for the tracker to be placed.
For this example, I used an empty widget box in my Sidebar. Once that is clicked, a window should pop-up giving you the massive choice of all the wonderful widget options Blogger has to offer.

Step 3:
Scroll down this list and find a widget that says 'HTML/Javascript' and press the little '+' icon to open up a second window where you can paste the Tracker code. (Keep this window open when doing the next step.)

Step 4:
Go onto Chobots.net and login to your account. Click on any server, and any location. Then open up your Playercard and press the right mouse button to open up a selection box. Click on 'Copy Tracker Code'.

Step 5:
Paste this code into the 'HTML/Javascript' window we kept open from Step 3.
You should end up with something like this:

You will obviously have your username where my username is, but if you want to add a tracker for someone else (Eg. Staff Member) then simply replace your username with theirs. (I have circled the two bits you should change) - Also, if the tracker is too large for your sidebar (or wherever you choose to add it) change the 'Width' and 'Height' variables until the tracker is correct for your blog.

I hope this guide has helped those who didn't know how to add a tracker.
Thank you for reading, be sure to get in contact with me if you encounter an issue.

Guide to: Prevent being Hacked!

Hello,
I'm here to tell you very useful information!
We're gonna talk about scammers and how to protect yourselves.
So I'd like to give you a few examples of scamming:

Example 1.) If you see someone saying "I can make you a citizen/agent/moderator!" Do NOT trust and do NOT give out your password!

Example 2.) One time, when I was playing with my secret account one chobot told me: "Wow! Know what? I have 500 000 bugs! My friend knows a cheat! And I can tell it to you if you give me your pass!" And know what? I didn't see that chobot anymore.. Don't trust and DON'T tell your password!

Example 3.) If you see someone saying: "I can give you my member account on CP or smth but you have to give me your chobots password!" Don't give out your password!

Now you can recognize a typical scammer! But let's talk about things you have to do if you were scammed. It's unfortunate but it's not the end of the world. Everything is under control! So listen, if a scammer changes your password and you can't log on - don't worry. All you have to do is restore your password, It's simple!

After clicking 'Restore it' you see this:

Just type your email address you used during the registration and check your mail. After you get an email with your current password you have to change it.
Log on Chobots and click 'Menu' button and choose 'Change your password' option.

You have to change it to something different and you will have your account back.
If you want to stay safe and protected, be sure to follow these rules.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome

Welcome to the grand opening of the Chobots.net Guide!
Here are a few Questions & Answers to help you understand what this blog is about.
(If you feel I have left something unanswered then please feel free to let me know via one of these methods)

Q: What can we expect from You?
A: Well, the main thing you could expect from Chobots.net Guide is a Rewards System. The more active you are (contributing towards the guides), the more points you can earn and trade for rewards. (More information will be released at a later date); another thing you can expect is the most in-depth Guides, Tutorials and Tips. I will also be doing lots of user-involvement activities, which will increase the involvement the Chobots Community have with the Blogging Community.
Q: How can I get involved?
A: You can get involved via many different methods. You can comment regularly, Enter contests/competitions and even get involved with many twitter-based activities. (More information will be released at a later date).
Q: What is your reason/motivation towards doing this?
A: Well, my main motivation is that I want to help contribute towards making Chobots more of a Family than a Community. Another reason is because everybody has their own unique identity, unlike other Virtual Words such as Club Penguin, where only the popular get noticed. With your help, we can all contribute to this change and become a very close family unit.

I hope this post cleared up a few things, but as I stated beforehand, feel free to contact me if you believe I have missed anything out.
